RenewElec is a collaborative effort funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the RK Mellon Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, the Electric Power Research Institute, the Heinz Endowments, and lead by Carnegie Mellon University's Engineering and Public Policy Department. Colleen Horin Lueken
Colleen Horin Lueken is an Engineering and Public Policy PhD student studying energy policy through Carnegie Mellon University and Instituto Superior Tecnico-Lisbon. Previously, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and her Master's in Engineering and Public Policy from the University of Maryland. She has served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and worked for three years at the Science and Technology Policy Institute, developing policy guidance for the executive branch of the U.S. government. Her research in the CMU-Portugal program focuses on technical and policy issues surrounding grid integration of renewable energy.
