RenewElec is a collaborative effort funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the RK Mellon Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, the Electric Power Research Institute, the Heinz Endowments, and lead by Carnegie Mellon University's Engineering and Public Policy Department. Brandon Mauch is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on technical and economic aspects of wind power and wind forecast uncertainty. Prior to coming to CMU, he worked at the U.S. State Department.
