Todd Ryan

Todd Ryan is a doctoral student in engineering and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University. Todd’s research focuses on balancing operations of electricity markets under high penetration of renewable generation. Previously Todd worked as an energy systems and markets analyst for Beacon Power Corporation where he modeled how Beacon’s flywheel energy storage system interact with the electricity grid with respect to each region’s specific rules and regulations. Todd has also worked as a process and systems engineer for Nuvera Fuel Cells developing hydrogen fuel cell and automotive fuel-reforming systems. Todd received his B.S. in chemical engineering from Tufts University.
