The Company
GadgetroniX is a leading distributor of globally renowned solar, water, security & surveillance, and communication equipment in Tanzania. Working with a team of highly competent staff including over seventy expert technicians employed full-time, a group of electrical/mechanical engineers, and quantity surveyors, has enabled GadgetroniX to specialise in an array of areas including communication, energy systems, water systems, electric vehicles, mobile signal boosters, networking, and security & surveillance systems. GadgetroniX represents several well-recognised international companies in the pursuit of developing, testing, and promoting clean energy technologies and other services to empower individuals and businesses.
The Challenge
Research institutions like the World Vegetable Centre depend on stable and continuous power to support laboratories, offices, accommodation, and daily operations. However, unreliable grid supply and increasing energy costs can disrupt critical research activities and reduce efficiency.
The centre required a reliable solar power system in Arusha that could run its entire facility. This included research equipment, water pumps, and residential spaces, while also reducing dependence on the grid and lowering long-term operational costs.
The Solution
GadgetroniX designed and installed a hybrid solar power system at the World Vegetable Centre to deliver clean and reliable energy across the facility. The system integrates solar generation, battery storage, and advanced inverter technology to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
System components:
- Solar array: 79.36 kWp (128 × 620W Jinko Solar P-Type Mono-Facial PV Modules)
- Battery storage: 40 kWh Lithium Battery (Freedom Won LiTE Commercial 40/32 – LiFePO4)
- Inverter: 100 kW Hybrid Inverter (Atess HPS100 – 3 Phase)
This solution powers research facilities, offices, accommodation, and water pumping systems efficiently, ensuring smooth and continuous operations.
Project Outcome
- Reliable Power Supply – Continuous energy for research and daily operations
- Energy Independence – Reduced reliance on grid electricity
- Operational Efficiency – Stable power for laboratories and key systems
- Cost Savings – Lower long-term energy expenses
- Sustainability – Clean energy solution reducing environmental impact
- Integrated Performance – Seamless power across all facilities
This project demonstrates how well-designed solar energy systems can support institutions with high operational demands. GadgetroniX continues to deliver solutions that combine reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
