ARE explores potential collaborations at Katanga Business Meeting 2026

The Alliance for Renewable Electrification (ARE) participated in the Katanga Business Meeting (KBM), held on 21 and 22 May in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), to engage with key stakeholders and explore opportunities to accelerate renewable electrification in the country.

As one of the DRC’s leading economic and investment forums, the event brought together more than 350 participants from the public and private sectors to discuss the country’s economic development and investment landscape.

During the forum, the ARE team met with government representatives, industry leaders, and development partners to strengthen relationships, identify potential partnerships, and assess opportunities for commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy solutions in the DRC.

ARE’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting the deployment of decentralised renewable energy solutions and fostering collaboration across the energy ecosystem to expand sustainable electricity access and drive economic development throughout the region.
