Gadgetronix – Nyarugusu Main Hospital off-grid power project (Tanzania)

Who, What & Where

  • GadgetroniX
  • Design, supply, and installation of a large-scale off-grid solar power system with containerised battery storage
  • Nyarugusu Main Hospital, Tanzania

The Company

GadgetroniX is a leading distributor of globally renowned solar, water, security & surveillance, and communication equipment in Tanzania. Working with a team of highly competent staff including over seventy expert technicians employed full-time, a group of electrical/mechanical engineers, and quantity surveyors, has enabled GadgetroniX to specialise in an array of areas including communication, energy systems, water systems, electric vehicles, mobile signal boosters, networking, and security & surveillance systems. GadgetroniX represents several well-recognised international companies in the pursuit of developing, testing, and promoting clean energy technologies and other services to empower individuals and businesses.

The Challenge

Nyarugusu Main Hospital requires uninterrupted and stable electricity to support essential medical operations including diagnostic equipment, refrigeration of medicines, lighting, and emergency care systems. In remote environments, unstable or unavailable grid power can significantly impact healthcare delivery and patient safety.

A reliable, scalable, and fully independent energy system was required to ensure continuous hospital operations without interruption.

The Solution

GadgetroniX implemented a high-capacity off-grid solar solution designed to deliver 24/7 energy reliability for critical healthcare services. The system integrates solar generation, advanced lithium storage, and industrial hybrid inverter technology.

System components:

  • Solar array: 77 kWp (140 × 550W JA Solar MBB Half-Cell Modules)
  • Battery storage: 320 kWh Lithium Battery (4 × Freedom Won LiTE Business 80/64 – LiFePO4)
  • Inverter: 100 kW Hybrid Inverter (ATESS HPS100 – 3 Phase)
  • Remote monitoring: ATESS EnerLog System
