ARE at Asia Clean Energy Forum 2026: Harnessing AI for a secure clean energy future in Asia
With energy demand across Asia growing at an unprecedented pace, building a secure, diversified, and resilient energy system has never been more urgent. This week, the Alliance for Renewable Electrification (ARE) joined the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2026 in Manila to contribute to the continent’s clean energy transition.
At the forum, ARE and the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) co-organised a deep dive workshop exploring how artificial intelligence is shaping a secure and resilient clean energy future across Asia. The session moved well beyond theoretical frameworks, bringing together leading voices from across the sector to present practical, deployable solutions ready for real-world implementation.

The workshop featured contributions from Keiju Mitsuhashi and Jamila Amodeo of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Sandra Seah of SEAS, ARE Director Jens Jæger, Arun Biswas of IBM, Daisy Marquez of NoTa Renewable Energy, and Satya Ramamurthy of SBMC. Together, the panel offered a cross-sector perspective on how AI-driven tools and approaches can accelerate the deployment of clean energy at scale while strengthening energy security across the region.
The Forum reinforced the strategic importance of regional collaboration in tackling the dual challenge of growing energy demand and the need for decarbonisation. ARE & SEAS also signed a landmark MoU to strengthen their regional clean energy collaboration.
With its expanding presence in Asia, ARE is positioned to work closely with regional stakeholders, including governments, development banks, technology providers, and industry players, to drive meaningful progress in the clean energy transition.
