ARE & SEAS sign landmark MoU to strengthen regional clean energy collaboration in Asia

18 June 2026, Brussels & Singapore –  The Alliance for Renewable Electrification (ARE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), marking a significant step in strengthening regional collaboration in support of clean energy development, business engagement, and market growth. The partnership creates new avenues for cooperation across renewable energy, energy efficiency, education, business matchmaking, market development, and stakeholder engagement.

Welcoming the partnership, David Lecoque, CEO of ARE, said: “Southeast Asia is among the most promising markets for renewable electrification globally and partnering with SEAS gives ARE and our Members a stronger foothold in the region. Together, we can unlock real business opportunities, share knowledge, and help scale the solutions that will power ASEAN’s energy transition. We are genuinely excited about what this collaboration will deliver.”

Signed on 10 June 2026 at the Asian Clean Energy Forum, the MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in decentralised renewables for clean energy access and broader industry collaboration. The collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for ARE and SEAS Members while supporting sustainability and economic development goals. A key focus of the partnership is the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and industry insights. By sharing developments, best practices, and market intelligence, the organisations aim to foster stronger cooperation among stakeholders and facilitate the growth of sustainable energy ecosystems.

“Collaboration is key to accelerating the energy transition across the region. Through our partnerships with PNOC and ARE, SEAS aims to strengthen industry connections, facilitate knowledge exchange, and create new opportunities for sustainable energy development. We look forward to working together to drive meaningful impact for our members and the wider clean energy ecosystem,” said Kavita Gandhi, Executive Director of SEAS.

ARE and SEAS look forward to fostering this meaningful partnership that drives innovation, accelerates the energy transition, and delivers long-term economic and environmental benefits for the region.
