Energise Africa funds Kudura Power’s 2 MW mini-grid in Turkana, Kenya
ARE Members Energise Africa and Kudura Power East Africa Ltd have agreed terms to fund the development of a 2 MW green mini-grid in Kakuma camp, Turkana County, Kenya. The project will deliver clean, reliable electricity to one of Kenya’s largest refugee and host communities, supporting energy access for households, businesses, and essential services in the area.
The investment brings together fellow ARE Members PIDG Project Development (InfraCo) and CEI Africa, reflecting the kind of collaboration within our network that is helping to bring renewable power to underserved and displacement-affected regions. Vivian Vendeirinho and the Kudura Power team worked closely with partners to bring the project to investment readiness, marking a significant step toward expanding clean energy access in Turkana County.
